MLA Local Area Agreements report

DC Research delivers national study on the the role of the MLA sector in Local Area Agreements

DC Research was appointed by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) to undertake research to inform the development of MLA’s support for Local Government Improvement. This national study will investigated the role, contribution and level of engagement of the MLA sector in the 2008 Local Area Agreements. The work included an assessment of all 150 Local Area Agreements, surveys of LAA and sector representatives, and consultation visits to a number of sample areas to assess firsthand the role of the sector and the mechanisms by which the sector is involved in, and engages with, partnership priorities and decision making in local areas.

The final report is available for download from our publications page.
