Local Government Improvement Evidence Toolkit

DC Research was commissioned by Renaissance Yorkshire in partnership with the Yorkshire Museum Directors Conference to develop a resource for use by Museum Directors and Heads of Service to evidence the impact of their services against local government improvement objectives. Renaissance Yorkshire believes that this work has the potential to increase the profile and reputation of public and third sector museums within local government.

The final report is available to download – please click here.

The study involved the collection and assessment of evidence of the impact of museums against a broad range of local government agendas, including community cohesion, regeneration, and learning, focusing on examples from museums across the Yorkshire and Humber region alongside national exemplars.
