Evaluation of HLF’s Collecting Cultures Programme

DC Research are delighted to have been appointed by the Heritage Lottery Fund to deliver an Evaluation of the Collecting Cultures Programme.

Collecting Cultures Grants totalling £5.1m were awarded in September 2014 to 23 museums, libraries and archives, ranging from £50,000 to £500,000 and totalling £5.1m as part of a new programme of strategic collecting and public engagement projects running from 2014 to 2019
The study will result in annual evaluation reports, as well as a final whole programme impact evaluation – with case studies of each project being developed in the final two years of the evaluation.

HLF has now run two rounds of the Collecting Cultures programme; the first in 2007 funded 22 museums and galleries with grants totalling £3.1m, and DC Research delivered the final impact evaluation.
