Evaluation of Leicester Innovation Workspace (DOCK)

DC Research has been appointed by Leicester City Council and LCB Depot to provide an Evaluation Report for the Leicester Innovation Workspace (DOCK).

The construction of the Leicester Innovation Workspace, also known as the DOCK, began in December 2010, and was completed in Autumn 2013.  Located on Pioneer Park, the DOCK provides office, lab and workshop space for knowledge economy businesses, with emphasis on high tech, and low carbon enterprises, and is a component part in the City Council’s focus on promoting growth in technology industries in Leicester.  It was funded by ERDF, Leicester City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.

The evaluation will include a survey of all businesses and individuals that have been supported by the DOCK, and a range of case studies to provide in-depth insights into the difference made by the project.

In March 2015, Leicester City Council announced it would be developing DOCK 2 next to DOCK at Pioneer Park.
