Museums Benchmarking 2016

DC Research is planning the first of what will be an annual benchmarking exercise for museums across the UK.

Through a number of recent projects, we have developed a robust and cost-effective approach to measuring the relative position of museums across five core themes (Collections and Displays; Audiences and Supporters; People Resources; Financial Resources; Outcome Contributions).

Our benchmarking analysis controls for size and scale, with quantitative metrics that enable comparison to be carried out between large and small museums in terms of budget, capacity and visitor numbers.
