Perth Theatre and Perth Concert Hall – Economic Impact Assessment

Perth Theatre and Perth Concert Hall – Economic Impact

Horsecross Arts Ltd (Perth Theatre and Perth Concert Hall) is undertaking a major £13.5 million capital project to Transform Perth Theatre for the benefit of their audiences, artists, creative learning participants and partners in Perthshire and Scotland, with plans to begin construction next year.

In partnership with Perth and Kinross Council and Scottish Enterprise, Horsecross Arts commissioned DC Research to undertake an Economic Impact Study to help establish the wider impacts of this major capital infrastructure project for Perth and beyond.

The Economic Impact Assessment includes interviews with key partners, surveys of visitors to both venues, and a survey of local businesses as well as a range of supporting research tasks.

The final report will provide an independent and robust assessment of the economic impact that Perth Theatre and Perth Concert Hall have on the Perth & Kinross, Tayside and Scottish economies at the moment, and will also assess the anticipated impact once the redevelopment of the Theatre has been completed.
