DC Research has established expertise in developing Impact Frameworks, Toolkits, Performance Management Frameworks, Evaluation Frameworks and Action Plans for the regeneration and cultural sectors that support clients in evidencing their contribution towards key local government priorities, agendas and policies.
Our impact frameworks and toolkits are designed to be forward facing to guide ongoing and future activities. Supporting evidence and analysis is typically based on project logic chains, and guided by HM Treasury Green Book principles for additionality.
Our expertise, understanding and experience in developing approaches to reviewing the performance, value and impact is also exemplified by the fact that Dr Stephen Connolly was involved as a consultee and advisor in the I&DeA/LGID work about ‘Measuring Outcomes for Culture and Sport’ which led to the development of the Local Outcomes Framework for Culture and Sport in England. This came about due to the Cultural Impact Framework for Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust that Stephen led on – delivering a nationally recognised good practice framework which enabled WLCT to evidence the contribution to a range of strategic priorities.
Example projects include:
- Association of Independent Museums (AIM) Economic Impacts Toolkit 2014
- Yorkshire Museums Local Government Improvement Evidence Toolkit
- Knowsley Leisure and Culture Services Impact Framework
- Evaluation Framework for the Living Places Programme
Please see our publications page for examples of our work, or contact Jonathan Durnin or Dr Stephen Connolly for further information or an informal discussion.
