Living Places Partners (Arts Council England, CABE, DCLG, DCMS, English Heritage, MLA and Sport England) - Evaluation of the Living Places Programme – Years 1, 2 and 3

Living Places Programme: Year 3 Evaluation

Living Places emphasises the use of culture and sport to support local distinctiveness and quality of place and promotes the advantage of cultural bodies working together to support local services for communities and individuals, particularly in areas that are experiencing housing led growth and regeneration.

The Year 3 Evaluation focused on capturing impact and learning from the five Priority Place Partnerships (Corby, Pennine Lancashire, PUSH, South West and Thames Gateway). This included establishing which partnerships have been successful in establishing good partnerships (and why), understanding the key facilitators to success, and identifying the key barriers to success, and how have they been overcome.

This evaluation built on our work in supporting Living Places Partners (Arts Council England, the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE), English Heritage, the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) and Sport England, Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Department for Communities and Local Government) in evaluating lessons and learning from the Living Places programme for Year 1 (2008/09) and Year 2 (2009/10).
